Mozilla Service Week

http://sfx-images.mozilla.org/msw/avatar.pngThis week is Mozilla service week, a week where the tech savvy are encouraged to put a little back into the community by donating time to carry out tasks to help others,

The idea is to find a way to use technology to make a difference in your neighborhood, your school, your library, your town, a fellow public benefit organization, in fact anywhere where you can contribute. For example, you could contribute with one of the following ideas;

  • Teach senior citizens how to use the Web.
  • Show a non-profit how to use social networking to grow its base of supporters.
  • Help install a wireless network at a school.
  • Create Web how-to materials for a library's computer cluster.
  • Refurbish hardware for a local computer center.
  • Update a non-profit organization's website.
  • Teach the values of the open Web to other public benefit organizations.
To join in, visit mozilla - http://mozillaservice.org/learn_more/volunteer/en_US where you can register your contribution, pledge support and get ideas on how to contribute.
